The CAO and Fire Chief provided an update on the Community Recovery Centre being planned for the Davidson Centre in Kincardine by the Grey Bruce Health Unit . It will be a 50-bed facility but will only be activated if the hospital is at capacity. The Centre will provide additional patient support  which could include non-critical overflow patients who may be returning to long term care or retirement facilities. Municipal Staff are working with the Grey Bruce Health Unit to determine logistics including electrical upgrades needed.  All invoices are to go the Grey Bruce Health Unit and Bruce Power is supporting financially and providing procurement services.

Committee of the Whole inquired about insurance required, who will be staffing the Centre, supplies required, the involvement of the Ministry of Health and financial requirements including putting the Davidson Centre back to its original state after the Centre. All items are currently being discussed and arranged. The CAO will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Mayor Eadie reiterated her message to the public this week regarding travel in to and out of Bruce County. She also emphasized the need to stay home, observe social distancing and not have any public gatherings.

Items listed under the Consent Agenda are considered routine and are enacted in one motion as a Matter Arising. The exception to this rule is that a Council member or the Chief Administrative Officer may request one or more items to be removed from the consent agenda for separate discussion and action.
