THAT the Heritage Kincardine Committee adopt the minutes of the meeting of June 24, 2019 as presented.

    Carried.

The Ontario Job Creation Partnership Concept Paper has been sent to the Province for review. If approved, the next step will be the actual grant application form. Staff is aiming for an October start day.

In the meantime, the summer students at the Municipal Office are scanning photos.

The Heritage Conservation District RFP was awarded to Stantec Consulting Ltd. Stantec will meet with Heritage Kincardine on August 12 at 2:30 p.m. at the Municipal Administration Centre.

The study process will involve four phases including background research, evaluation of historical and architectural value or interest, draft report to Council and final report to Council. There will be public information sessions and opportunities for the residents to provide their input.

The Heritage Plaque for 203 Durham Street will be presented at Council on August 7, 2019.

The Tiverton Walking Tour was a big success. Our GIS Summer Student will be making a GIS Storybook with it so that it can go online similar to the walking and driving tour.

Sylvia ordered 500 more Bruce Township Driving Tours per Resolution #06/24/19 - 03.

Staff is working on quotes and placement locations for the Salt Block signage. Kasey is working on updating the Arts Centre Signage.

The committee reviewed the draft signage wording for the Pavilion.

Kasey will do a draft of the signage and Staff will put the Pavilion pictures on the google drive.

The weekly heritage articles have been placed in the Kincardine Independent. The Committee will ask to see if Mary has four more from the Tiverton Walking Tour that we can add. After that, we will do some on Princes and Queen Streets.

Committee reviewed the action items from the previous meetings.

Committee discussed donating the drawings to the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (BCMCC) archives.  Staff spoke to BCMCC about transferring the drawings. For items such as these that are not created or used by the Municipality, their procedure is to request that the items be donated as opposed to transferred where they would remain the property of the Municipality but would be stored at the Archives.
