Call to Order

The Accessibility Advisory Committee meeting of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine was called to Order at 1 p.m. on Tuesday July 14, 2020 electronically.

  THAT the Accessibility Advisory Committee adopt the minutes of the meeting held June 9, 2020 and June 24, 2020 as presented.

Delegations

5.1

Claire Basinski, WSP (Project Consultant) - Kincardine Master Cycling Plan

Claire Basinski and Justin Jones provided a presentation on the Kincardine Master Cycling Plan including the vision and goals, who the plan is developed for, identifying on-road  and off-road cycling improvements, SWOT analysis, and programming suggestions. The trails hierarchy was discussed and the Primary Trail hierarchy would be AODA compliant.

The Committee asked about if accessible devices would be able to utilize these trails and the plan is looking at including multi use trails that would be for bicycles and all other devices. Suggestion of adding grades to maps.

Outstanding Business

6.1

Outdoor Patio Policy & Queen Street Closure

Staff updated Committee on a some of the concern raised regarding existing patios created under the policy and the resolution to those concerns. 

6.2

Site Plan Review

Committee will review London's  Site Plan Review Document and will discuss creation of a similar document for the Committee to use when reviewing site plans.

6.3

Accessible Parking Campaign

Committee will look at an accessible parking campaign to raise awareness for the need for and appropriate use of accessible parking in Kincardine.
