The Kincardine Community Fund  Committee meeting of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine was called to Order at 5:02 p.m. on November 30, 2020 electronically.

Chandra Tripathi joined the meeting at this point.

    THAT the Kincardine Community Fund Committee adopt the minutes of 

    September 29, 2020 meeting as presented.

    Carried.

Staff provided an update on the Philanthropy month campaign which included radio advertising and social media posts.  Staff confirmed that a "Giving Tuesday" awareness post had been scheduled.   

There has not been staffing capacity to facilitate the virtual estate planning seminar.  Councillor Kennedy will follow up with previous presenters to establish possible dates for early 2021.

Stuart Reid, Executive Director Community Foundation Grey Bruce (CFGB) provided an update on Foundation activities and ongoing programs.  The CFGB has provided $1,000,000 in grants to communities in Grey and Bruce including through the community emergency support fund (assisting vulnerable groups with COVID 19 challenges) and the Social Enterprises - Investment Readiness program funding.   The CFGB Annual Report is available online now.  Lessons they have learned from the pandemic, are that organizations needed to be resilient, adaptable and creative and the best outcomes came from fostering collaboration.    

Staff provided an overview of the application process to fill the vacancy within the Committee.

Chandra Tripathi left the meeting at 5:33 p.m.

The Committee discussed the goal setting procedure for 2021.  Committee members are being asked to bring 5-10 ideas to the next meeting, to assist in developing direction for 2021.  The ideas should assist in creating goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely.  They should help to determine the narrative and tell the story of what the Committee is working towards. 

Staff confirmed that $565.00 had been spent from the budget for advertising.  

No correspondence was received.  The Committee discussed requesting a donors listing from Community Foundation of Grey Bruce for the purposes of sending notes of gratitude.  

The next meeting was scheduled for January 4, 2020 at 5 p.m.
