Call to Order
 

Mayor Anne Eadie called to order the Planning/Corporate Services Meeting of the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre.

  • Property Insurance for the Paddy Walker House

    THAT Council hereby receive report Teasury-2020-02;

    AND FURTHER THAT Council authorize the Treasurer/Director of Finance to enter into an agreement with the Paddy Walker Heritage Society to include the Walker House (235 Harbour Street) under its municipal property insurance policy under the terms and conditions contained within this report.

  • Heritage Conservation District Plan - Exemption to Purchasing and Procurement Policy

    THAT Council exempt the acquisition of consulting services for the Heritage Conservation District Plan from Section 16 Requests for Proposals for Consulting Services of the  Purchasing and Procurement Policy GG.2.17 and authorize proceeding under section 17 of the Policy to allow purchase by negotiation as the extension of the existing contract would prove more cost effective and beneficial;


    AND FURTHER THAT Staff be directed to negotiate with Stantec Consulting Ltd. for the completion of the Heritage Conservation District Plan for not more than the budgeted amount of $50,000 per Report CLE 2020-03.

  • Petition for Drainage Works by Owners

    WHEREAS the Municipality of Kincardine has received a Petition for Drainage Works by Owners for lands at Concession 5 Lot 19, Concession 6 Lot 18 & 19, Concession 7 Lot 18 (all Township of Bruce) under Section 4 (1) of the Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.D.17;

    NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council accept the petition and indicate its intent to proceed with the drainage works and direct staff to proceed with required notices under Section 5 of the Drainage Act;

    AND FURTHER THAT the Municipality of Kincardine hereby appoint R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited to prepare a report to fulfill the requirements under Section 8 of the Drainage Act for the proposed area requiring drainage.

    THAT Council move into closed meeting for the purpose of considering personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Physician Recruitment Candidate), pursuant to Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended;

    AND FURTHER THAT Council return to regular open meeting upon completion.

Mayor Eadie reported that a closed meeting had been held with a Physician Recruitment Candidate being considered.  Staff were directed to place a by-law on the matter before Council as Matters Arising from the Closed Meeting.
