Call to Order

Mayor Gerry Glover called to order the Special Meeting of the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, electronically in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre.

The special meeting was called to discuss personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Human Resources Matter).

All Council Members and Staff attended electronically.

Land Acknowledgment Statement

Councillor Couture opened the meeting with the Land Acknowledgment Statement.

None disclosed.

Business for Which the Special Meeting is Called

Move into Closed Meeting

  Seconded by: Dave Cuyler

  THAT Council move into closed meeting for the purpose of considering personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Human Resources Matter), pursuant to Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council return to regular open meeting upon completion.

Matters Arising from Closed Meeting

Mayor Glover reported that Council went into Closed meeting for the purpose of considering personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Human Resources Matter). Council provided direction to staff to bring a by-law appointing a Director of Community Services to the October 4, 2021 meeting.

  THAT the By-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine of Tuesday, September 28, 2021 be deemed to be read a first, second and third time, finally passed and numbered as By-law No. 2021 - 156.
