Call to Order

Deputy Mayor Wilson called to order the Committee of the Whole meeting of the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019 in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre.

Mayor's Update

Deputy Mayor Wilson provided an update on local events including the Bruce Power Block Party that will happen on July 20, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Davidson Centre, KDSS Parent Engagement Event session held June 12, 2019 “Welcome Parents and Embrace Diversity through Dialogue”, and the Rotary District #6330 Conference held June June 13 - 16th.

Consent Agenda

Items listed under the Consent Agenda are considered routine and are enacted in one motion as a Matter Arising. The exception to this rule is that a Council member or the Chief Administrative Officer may request one or more items to be removed from the consent agenda for separate discussion and action.

Recommended Motions

a.
Communication received from Darren Geddes submitting resignation from Committee of Adjustment

THAT Council accept, with regret, the resignation of Darren Geddes from the Committee of Adjustment;

AND FURTHER THAT Council extends its best wishes to Darren Geddes in all his future endeavors;

AND FURTHER THAT this seat be declared vacant.

b.
Tiverton Reunion

WHEREAS Council passed Resolution #04/15/19 - 15 exempting the 2019 Tiverton Reunion from certain aspects of the Alcohol Risk Management Policy;

AND WHEREAS the 2019 Tiverton Reunion Committee has since requested to change the licensed area from the East side to the West side of the Tiverton Sports Centre;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution #04/15/19 - 15 be amended to delete the East side and replace with the West side of the Tiverton Sports Centre as a licensed area.
