The Kincardine BIA Board of Management meeting will be called to Order at 9:00am on October 17, 2023, at the the Kincardine Welcome Centre.

Recommendation
THAT the minutes of the September 19, 2023, meeting of the Kincardine BIA Board of Management be accepted, as presented.

Rick Clarke - Lighthouse Blues Festival

Mr. Clarke will present plans for the 2024 festival to bring it back to Queen Street and Victoria Park.

The report provides a general overview of social media plans, business recognitions, update on upcoming events, BIA bucks, and items for discussion surrounding the heritage lighting and market in the park.

Strategic Plan & 2024 Budget

The MOK Treasury department would like to gain an understanding from the BIA Board on the 2024 BIA Levy and whether the board intends to keep the current levy or increase it for 2024.

Darrel Perry will provide an update and overview of the next steps:

October 17th 9am-10am BIA Monthly Meeting

- Recap of the SWOC workshop and the Business Survey results.

- Summarize the results with a THINKING DOCUMENT tabled for the meeting.

October 26th 8.30am-10.30am Strategic Plan Meeting for 2024

- Further make sense of the results from the SWOC and Business Survey and gain alignment on the clear objectives for 2024.

- Review past initiatives and workshop potential new initiatives inline with clear objectives.

November 21st TBC Review Draft Plan & Budget 2024 Meeting

- Discus and align on details.

- Review budget line by line.

Amanda and Cherie will provide a quick overview and next steps for construction, as well as an overview of recent business supports funded through the Municipality. Board member Perry requested further discussion around items raised in an email dated October 2nd (Attached).

Murals from downtown window vandalism

As many of the windows have now been replaced, we are receiving inquiries on what will happen with the paintings. Looking for ideas and suggestions from the Board.
