    THAT the minutes of the meeting dated January 14, 2020 of the Kincardine BIA Board of Management be accepted as presented.

5 Grants confirmed thus far - with more anticipating approval soon.
Lauren will be taking over the DMS Instagram on Tuesday Feb. 25.

Municipal staff updated the committee on a new policy that will be presented to Council in the coming month, concerning the painting of multiple crosswalks in the downtown area.  The BIA will be named as a partner in the policy for approval processes.

Committee discussed hiring parameters for Social Media position for BIA.

    THAT the BIA hire Lauren Eby upon completion of the Digital Main Street contract, to provide social media support, facilitate workshops and support/guidance to BIA members, at $20/hr for 8-10hrs/week.

- Beckers/West Shore - aiming to open in April
- Billboard Signage/Advertising opportunity discussed for south of Port Elgin (facing south), 8'x16', Rental Fee $85/month.

    THAT the BIA proceed with securing advertising space with GW Signs, for a billboard promoting downtown Kincardine, at the rental cost of $85/month.  Additional funds to be allotted for design of sign.

- Budget 2020 Passed, which includes requested BIA increase
- Environmental Committee forging forward with new initiatives that include: Waterbottle stations, Film Plastics Recycling and purchase opportunities for Rain Barrels and Composters
- Parking Issue Re: 7 Acres - Being monitored by Public Works, Company was part of discussions as well
- Draft ED & Corporate Strategic Plans presented to Council February 19
- DGR - Concluded

- Bluewater Summer Playhouse and BIA to bring back Fashion Show in April - more details to follow
