Mayor Craig called to order the Regular Meeting of the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024 in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre.

Councillor Kennedy opened the meeting with the Land Acknowledgment Statement.

David M. Woodward from Lerners Lawyers, as part of our legal counsel, provided a presentation on front end or cost sharing agreements for development costs such as roads, municipal services, infrastructure, that are shared between the municipality and the developer.

Nancy Michie made a presentation on a request for portable water supply for the Bruce Energy Centre Industrial Park and 1554 Bruce Road 23.

    That Council direct staff to bring back a report on the provision of potable water to the Bruce Energy Centre from a multi disciplinary perspective and examining various municipal assets.

Brooke McLean and Michaela Posthumus provided an update on the Bruce County Public Library. The presentation included statistics, the bookmobile, new resident packages, various library databases, non traditional items, and information about the Kincardine and Tiverton library branches.

Stellina Williams, Sandy Donald, Inspector Wilcox, and Ceilidh Jackson provided a presentation on the Kincardine Police Services Board including the school resources officer calls for service.

    3) Labour relations or employee negotiations (Application for Union Certification Update);

    4) A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Municipality or Local Board (disposition of land at 199 Lambton Street);

    5)  Labour relations or employee negotiations (Review of Municipal Reorganization); and

    Further, that Council return to Regular open meeting upon completion.
