The Regular Meeting of the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine will be called to Order at 5:00 p.m. on July 5, 2023, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre.

Mayor Craig will open the meeting with the Land Acknowledgment Statement.

    That the minutes of the Council meetings held on June 19, 2023 be adopted as printed.

    That the “Facility Booking (Non Profit) Policy By-law” be deemed to be read a first, second and third time, finally passed and numbered as By-law No. 2023 -

    THAT Council move into Committee of Whole Meeting and upon completion return to Council.

    That Council approve the recommendations contained in the consent agenda dated July 5, 2023 and direct staff to proceed with all necessary administrative actions.

    That Council authorize the vesting of the vacant property with Roll No. 4108-220-002-11700-0000 in accordance with Section 379(7.1) of the Municipal Act; and

    Further, that Council authorize Staff to write off taxes in the amount of $39,015.22 on lands vested by the municipality for the vested properties listed in Schedule A, in accordance with Section 354(2)(a) and (3) of the Municipal Act.

    That Council receive Report Legislatives Services 2023-14; and

    That Staff be directed to review the Election Sign By-law prior to the 2026 Municipal Election and direct staff to investigate and promote environmentally friendly election signs in future elections; and further

    That the Municipality demonstrate leadership and reduce with a view to eliminating the use of similar temporary signs as a method of communication.

    THAT Council move into closed meeting for the purpose of considering of considering litigation or potential litigation, including matter before administrative tribunals (two Human Resources Matters), pursuant to Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended;

    AND FURTHER THAT Council return to regular open meeting upon completion.
